C Class on the Bluebell Railway

SECR C Class 0-6-0

SECR, SR, BR C Class 0-6-0

This kit models the locomotives built in 1900, the last of which 31592 was withdrawn in 1967 and is preserved.  During their life the locomotives changed little except for the liveries and the numbers they carried.  109 were built for main line goods duties.  In SR days they pulled secondary goods trains and in BR days engineers trains.  With excellent acceleration and a good turn of speed they were also used on hop pickers and local passenger trains.  108 entered BR stock.

Included are etched footplate, cab, tender, whitemetal boiler, brass boiler fittings, handrail knobs and wire, parts to modify Farish chassis.

N kit  44.50.
To complete needs Farish 4F loco and tender chassis,  a suitable motor (Mashima 10 x 24 suggested), solder and/or adhesive, paint and transfers.

SHT, GWR, BR Peckett 0-4-0ST

Peckett built 763 standard gauge 0-4-0STs, 56 were Class E tanks.  They were supplied to industrial users and the main line railways.  They had a distinctive appearance clearly stating they were a Peckett engine.

The kit models the tanks supplied to Powlesland and Mason and the Swansea Harbour Trust that passed into Great Western then British Railways ownership.  The first was supplied in 1906 and the last withdrawn in 1963.

Kit makes a body without fittings.  Included are parts e.g. wing plates and buffer beams, to model the differences in both industrial and GW engines, and to build a 2mm model. Etched brass.

 N kit £15.00

To complete, needs Bachman Dockside Switcher chassis, boiler fittings, solder and/or adhesive, paint, number plate and transfers.
