Heavy duty road set up to take a 2-4-0T
A test bed to run in steam and diesel locos. Roads for all the popular gauges, N, TT, HO, OO, S and O, and all gauges in between.
Coned rollers support the driving wheels, these are of soft brass to minimize wear on the loco tyres. Rollers are electrically live and slide into position under driving wheels.
Bogie and tender wheels rest on supports without rollers, these are also electrically live.
Two separate guides carry the supports. Because the guides and supports on each side of the loco are independent of each other, the road can be set to suit any gauge or to suit several different gauges. Suitable for DCC programming.
All roads are kits and require assembly, a base and connection to a controller.
Light Duty Road Kits
For gauges from 9 to 21mm. For N minimum wheelbase 10.5mm, guides 15cm (6inches) long. For OO minimum wheelbase 17mm , guides 30cm (12inches) long.
